About this place
A small one-bedroom cottage in an old mining village, set up with Deaf and hard of hearing guests in mind. Check-in is by text or video call, the fire alarms flash and vibrate, and there is a loop in the living room. We inspected the alerting equipment in person and tested it.

Good to know
We list the barriers as carefully as the features. Read these before you request a stay.
- There is one 100mm step at the entrance. A portable ramp is provided but the cottage is not suitable for a large powerchair.
- Internal doorways are narrow at 720mm, typical of an old miners cottage.
- The village is on a hill. The walk to the shop is steep in places.
